5. Then add these labels for the cells as illustrated and enumerated below; Bold the labels
and Underline as located.
B22 Payment (This is the payment number being made).
C22 Current Balance (For beginning Balance or loan amount)
D22 Payment (This is each Regular Payment)
F22 Interest (The Interest for the payment will be held here and is paid first)
G22 Principal (The amount of Principal for the payment is held here and paid after the
interest charge.
H22 Balance (This is the remaining balance after each principal payment is made.
J22 Cum Interest (The sum total of interest paid for a payment and prior interest payments. 11
In Business this has implications for taxes.
In Chapter 10 you have had problems whereby you were asked to calculate these values and
place them into a Loan Payment Schedule table. When you complete this set up, the programming
will automatically populate the information for each loan.
6. Column widths need to be adjusted for Columns B, C, D, E, F, G, H, and I. To adjust the
width of any column place your cursor on the column letter, such as B, and with a left mouse
click highlight the entire column. Then right click with your mouse to open a menu to select
Column Width… Select the menu item Column Width and it will open a frame to type in the
column width for this column. Type 9.8, then select the OK button to close. The Column B is
set to a width of 9.8.
7. Following the process above and set the width for the following columns as listed
below:
