10. What has been the effect of the U.S. government’s involvement to
eliminate poverty? What would be your policies regarding poverty—can
it actually be eliminated?
11. Many governments and people have focused on sustainable populations.
The current earth’s population is about 8 billion peoples and rising,
whereas the experts report that a sustainable population is 1 billion
people. In 1970, Norman Borlaug was awarded the Nobel Prize for his
work in developing new crop varieties and technologies to increase food
supplies. He has been credited with saving billions of lives in third
world countries. Is there a need for population evacuation or engineering
innovations in food production as Borlaug brought about?
